Within research activities the PHP intends to pursue:
- Locating and processing left estates by deceased authors
- Research in the field of data archiving and cataloguing (database archive software development on which the Prague House of Photography cooperates with the Thinline company)
- Digital reproduction and cataloguing
- Czech creative photography history research
- Methodology and didactics, theory and practice of photography research
- Cultural heritage protection research
